Become a Maine Brewshed Alliance Ambassador
Volunteer job description
Maine Brewshed Ambassadors represent the Maine Brewshed Alliance to spread the message: Clean water, great beer.
Ambassadors will also help during Brewshed outreach events to educate and engage the public. The time commitment of this position is flexible; however, candidates will be asked to commit to attending at least 4 events after attending a two-hour training.
We’re looking for Brewshed Ambassadors throughout Maine, including the following areas: Greater Portland, Lewiston/Auburn, Bangor/Orono, Midcoast, York County.
Responsibilities
Promote the Maine Brewshed Alliance and clean water initiatives through social media, outreach and events, and more
Attend a 2-hour initial training session and additional training as necessary
Attend at least 4 weekend or evening Brewshed events within the calendar year
After training, be a knowledgeable representative of both NRCM and the Maine Brewshed Alliance, and serve as a source of information about the connection between clean water and great beer at Brewshed Alliance events
Actively engage patrons in learning more about the Brewshed connection, answer questions, and offer opportunities to get involved including donating, signing up for the email list, or volunteering
Maintain composure and appropriate demeanor throughout events
After events, report back on results to NRCM staff
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or over with a valid ID
Outgoing personality
Good interpersonal and oral communication skills
Comfortable approaching others to discuss an organizational message and mission
Ability to remain on your feet and engaged with others for 2-4 hours at a time
Willingness and availability to attend at least 4 Brewshed or related events after training
Beer knowledge and understanding preferred
